A million miles is a long way. It’s driving around Earth forty times. It’s traveling to the moon, and back again, with room to spare.

With this film director Anthony Dickenson set out to embody the relentless million-mile journey that helped mould the Lexus GS, letting the audience viscerally experience just what that means. That journey is distilled into a stylised straight-line run across the surface of our planet. Anthony created a unique visual language by combining self-developed 'in-camera' techniques with seamless post production (Time Based Arts). The result is a subtly stylised filmic piece that has wonderfully smooth camera movements, time-lapsing skies, but also includes live action, allowing it to have a human touch that time-lapse alone can distance you from. All of these elements are joined together in a flowing, continuous journey. The script was written by Neil Clarke and Jay Phillips at CHI. The spot was shot on location around LA, South Africa and Iceland.
