A series of lasers soon appear, which Rooney has to navigate past in order to avoid slicing the ball in pieces. It transpires that the person controlling the intricate network of beams is Torres. This video came about by Anthony experimenting with lighting techniques. He achieved the effect by placing various objects on a turntable and shooting with very long exposures in a simple lighting set-up. These beautiful effects complement the simple performance footage superbly.
5 weeks of careful experimentation with combining the various techniques resulted in this brilliant promo. Anthony achieved these intriguing effects for this video for Miike Snow's Animal with a careful combination of projections, animation and sculpture.
