Canadian born, Los Angeles raised director Alex Takacs began making videos under the Young Replicant moniker while attending college in 2008. Working alongside creative partner and producer Joe Nankin, Alex has gone on to direct award-winning videos for an impressive array of artists, from critically revered M83 to blog-beloved newcomers Baths and Purity Ring. On top of ranking high on year end lists, his videos for Bath's "Lovely Bloodflow" and Hooray for Earth's "True Loves" have premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival, SXSW and other showcases around the world.
